Assume that the device tree is correct and use this\ndriver when it was added to device tree. This also removes a build\ndependency to the SoC code.\n\nAll device trees I am aware of only have one correct flash device entry\nin it. The device tree is anyway bundled with the kernel in all systems\nusing device tree I know of.\n\nThe boot mode can be specified with some pin straps and will select the\nflash type the rom code will boot from. One SPI, NOR or NAND flash chip\ncan be connect to the EBU and used to load the first stage boot loader\nfrom.\n\nSigned-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hauke@hauke-m.de>\nCc: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>\nCc: linux-spi@vger.kernel.org\nSigned-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>\n---\n drivers/spi/spi-falcon.c | 5 -----\n 1 file changed, 5 deletions(-)", "diff": "diff --git a/drivers/spi/spi-falcon.c b/drivers/spi/spi-falcon.c\nindex 286b2c81fc6b..f8638e82e5db 100644\n--- a/drivers/spi/spi-falcon.c\n+++ b/drivers/spi/spi-falcon.c\n@@ -395,11 +395,6 @@ static int falcon_sflash_probe(struct platform_device *pdev)\n \tstruct spi_master *master;\n \tint ret;\n \n-\tif (ltq_boot_select() != BS_SPI) {\n-\t\tdev_err(&pdev->dev, \"invalid bootstrap options\\n\");\n-\t\treturn -ENODEV;\n-\t}\n-\n \tmaster = spi_alloc_master(&pdev->dev, sizeof(*priv));\n \tif (!master)\n \t\treturn -ENOMEM;\n", "prefixes": [] }
