In some places, instead of checking that flag, we check\nadapter->ptp_tx_skb. This patch fixes those places to use the flag.\n\nQuick note about igc_ptp_tx_hwtstamp() change: when that function is\ncalled, adapter->ptp_tx_skb is expected to be valid always so we\nWARN_ON_ONCE() in case it is not.\n\nQuick note about igc_ptp_suspend() change: when suspending, we don't\nreally need to check if there is a pending timestamp. We can simply\nclear it unconditionally.\n\nSigned-off-by: Andre Guedes <andre.guedes@intel.com>\n---\n drivers/net/ethernet/intel/igc/igc_ptp.c | 16 +++++++---------\n 1 file changed, 7 insertions(+), 9 deletions(-)", "diff": "diff --git a/drivers/net/ethernet/intel/igc/igc_ptp.c b/drivers/net/ethernet/intel/igc/igc_ptp.c\nindex b1b23c6bf689..e65fdcf966b2 100644\n--- a/drivers/net/ethernet/intel/igc/igc_ptp.c\n+++ b/drivers/net/ethernet/intel/igc/igc_ptp.c\n@@ -404,9 +404,6 @@ void igc_ptp_tx_hang(struct igc_adapter *adapter)\n \tbool timeout = time_is_before_jiffies(adapter->ptp_tx_start +\n \t\t\t\t\t IGC_PTP_TX_TIMEOUT);\n \n-\tif (!adapter->ptp_tx_skb)\n-\t\treturn;\n-\n \tif (!test_bit(__IGC_PTP_TX_IN_PROGRESS, &adapter->state))\n \t\treturn;\n \n@@ -435,6 +432,9 @@ static void igc_ptp_tx_hwtstamp(struct igc_adapter *adapter)\n \tstruct igc_hw *hw = &adapter->hw;\n \tu64 regval;\n \n+\tif (WARN_ON_ONCE(!skb))\n+\t\treturn;\n+\n \tregval = rd32(IGC_TXSTMPL);\n \tregval |= (u64)rd32(IGC_TXSTMPH) << 32;\n \tigc_ptp_systim_to_hwtstamp(adapter, &shhwtstamps, regval);\n@@ -466,7 +466,7 @@ static void igc_ptp_tx_work(struct work_struct *work)\n \tstruct igc_hw *hw = &adapter->hw;\n \tu32 tsynctxctl;\n \n-\tif (!adapter->ptp_tx_skb)\n+\tif (!test_bit(__IGC_PTP_TX_IN_PROGRESS, &adapter->state))\n \t\treturn;\n \n \tif (time_is_before_jiffies(adapter->ptp_tx_start +\n@@ -588,11 +588,9 @@ void igc_ptp_suspend(struct igc_adapter *adapter)\n \t\treturn;\n \n \tcancel_work_sync(&adapter->ptp_tx_work);\n-\tif (adapter->ptp_tx_skb) {\n-\t\tdev_kfree_skb_any(adapter->ptp_tx_skb);\n-\t\tadapter->ptp_tx_skb = NULL;\n-\t\tclear_bit_unlock(__IGC_PTP_TX_IN_PROGRESS, &adapter->state);\n-\t}\n+\tdev_kfree_skb_any(adapter->ptp_tx_skb);\n+\tadapter->ptp_tx_skb = NULL;\n+\tclear_bit_unlock(__IGC_PTP_TX_IN_PROGRESS, &adapter->state);\n }\n \n /**\n", "prefixes": [ "3/6" ] }
