"content": "Hi all,\n\nthis patchset adds a new mechanism to the framework - regulators' coupling.\n\nOn Odroid XU3/4 and other Exynos5422 based boards there is a case, that\ndifferent devices on the board are supplied by different regulators\nwith non-fixed voltages. If one of these devices temporarily requires \nhigher voltage, there might occur a situation that the spread between \ntwo devices' voltages is so high, that there is a risk of changing\n'high' and 'low' states on the interconnection between devices powered\nby those two regulators. \n\nAlgorithmicaly the problem was solved by: \nInderpal Singh <inderpal.s@samsung.com>\nDoug Anderson <dianders@chromium.org>\n\nThe discussion on that subject can be found here:\nhttps://lkml.org/lkml/2014/4/29/28\n\nTherefore this patchset is an attempt to apply the idea to regulators core\nas concluded in the discussion by Mark Brown and Doug Anderson.\n\nThis feature is required to enable support for generic CPUfreq \nand devfreq drivers for the mentioned boards. \n\nBest regards,\n\n\tMaciej Purski\n\nMaciej Purski (2):\n regulator: core: Add coupled regulators mechanism\n regulator: bindings: Add properties for coupled regulators\n\n .../devicetree/bindings/regulator/regulator.txt | 3 +\n drivers/regulator/core.c | 274 +++++++++++++++++++--\n include/linux/regulator/driver.h | 16 ++\n 3 files changed, 275 insertions(+), 18 deletions(-)"
