I didn't see DMA_ERROR_CODE used in lib/swiotlb.c, and swiotlb_dma_mapping_error is implemented as: return (dma_addr == phys_to_dma(hwdev, io_tlb_overflow_buffer)); So I figured that phys_to_dma(hwdev, io_tlb_overflow_buffer) was intended to be used as DMA_ERROR_CODE instead.
