Subject: [wwwdocs] Fix contribute.html documentation on testing patches
To: gcc-patches@gcc.gnu.org
The instructions on https://gcc.gnu.org/contribute.html#testing for
bootstrapping GCC are incorrect.
The instructions say to run 'make bootstrap' from the top level GCC
directory,
but this results in the below error.
$ make bootstrap
make: *** No rule to make target 'bootstrap'. Stop.
The instructions should say to first configure GCC in a new directory, then
run
'make bootstrap' from there. Patch is below.
If the patch is acceptable I would appreciate if someone could commit it
for me
as I don't have write access.
or a runtime library other than libgcc
, you need to verify
