  "partion" -> "partition"
  "retrive", "retreive" -> "retrieve"
  "th" -> "to"

  just my pedantic nature getting the best of me, not sure if folks
preferred i submit these on a per-subsystem basis and CC all relevant
maintainers. if so, i can resubmit.
