This is a note to let you know that I have just added a patch titled hwmon: (pmbus/ltc2978) Use detected chip ID to select to the linux-3.5.y-queue branch of the 3.5.y.z extended stable tree which can be found at: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/git?p=ubuntu/linux.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/linux-3.5.y-queue If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to this tree, please reply to this email. For more information about the 3.5.y.z tree, see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/Dev/ExtendedStable Thanks. -Luis ------ From 058f074787aeeebc302cbd34c32cef662151c90e Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Guenter Roeck <linux@roeck-us.net> Date: Thu, 21 Feb 2013 10:49:40 -0800 Subject: [PATCH] hwmon: (pmbus/ltc2978) Use detected chip ID to select supported functionality commit f366fccd0809f13ba20d64cae3c83f7338c88af7 upstream. We read the chip ID from the chip, use it to determine if the chip ID provided to the driver is correct, and report it if wrong. We should also use the correct chip ID to select supported functionality.
