This is a note to let you know that I have just added a patch titled iscsi-target: Always send a response before terminating to the linux-3.5.y-queue branch of the 3.5.y.z extended stable tree which can be found at: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/git?p=ubuntu/linux.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/linux-3.5.y-queue If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to this tree, please reply to this email. For more information about the 3.5.y.z tree, see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/Dev/ExtendedStable Thanks. -Herton ------ From 5bff7fd0ca710940073269d6c22748c11438a323 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Roland Dreier <roland@purestorage.com> Date: Mon, 5 Nov 2012 18:02:42 -0800 Subject: [PATCH] iscsi-target: Always send a response before terminating iSCSI connection commit 1c5c12c666fda27c7c494b34934a0a0631a48130 upstream. There are some cases, for example when the initiator sends an out-of-bounds ErrorRecoveryLevel value, where the iSCSI target terminates the connection without sending back any error. Audit the login path and add appropriate iscsit_tx_login_rsp() calls to make sure this doesn't happen.
