This is a note to let you know that I have just added a patch titled

libceph: allow sock transition from CONNECTING to

to the linux-3.5.y-queue branch of the 3.5.yuz extended stable tree
which can be found at:

 http://kernel.ubuntu.com/git?p=ubuntu/linux.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/linux-3.5.y-queue

If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to this tree, please
reply to this email.

For more information about the 3.5.yuz tree, see
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/Dev/ExtendedStable

Thanks.

Subject: [PATCH 45/78] libceph: allow sock transition from CONNECTING to
 CLOSED

commit fbb85a478f6d4cce6942f1c25c6a68ec5b1e7e7f upstream.

It is possible to close a socket that is in the OPENING state. For
example, it can happen if ceph_con_close() is called on the con before
the TCP connection is established. con_work() will come around and shut
down the socket.
