This is a note to let you know that I have just added a patch titled netfilter: xt_limit: have r->cost != 0 case work to the linux-3.5.y-queue branch of the 3.5.yuz extended stable tree which can be found at: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/git?p=ubuntu/linux.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/linux-3.5.y-queue If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to this tree, please reply to this email. For more information about the 3.5.yuz tree, see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/Dev/ExtendedStable Thanks. -Herton ------ From c70885cd3a616168f7b7b60a0b037267169a6b49 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Jan Engelhardt <jengelh@inai.de> Date: Fri, 21 Sep 2012 22:26:52 +0000 Subject: [PATCH] netfilter: xt_limit: have r->cost != 0 case work commit 82e6bfe2fbc4d48852114c4f979137cd5bf1d1a8 upstream. Commit v2.6.19-rc1~1272^2~41 tells us that r->cost != 0 can happen when a running state is saved to userspace and then reinstated from there. Make sure that private xt_limit area is initialized with correct values. Otherwise, random matchings due to use of uninitialized memory.
