Notes:
    Erico,

    -- FYI --

LTP does support two APIs in general testcase, we're now working
on the migration to new API[1] for all tests in a long term phase.

Considering you will fix the kernel lockdown problem for iopl01
and ioperm01(thanks in advance). So I helped to convert these two
tests to new APIs firstly, you can start the kernel lockdown fix
    base on my patches.

This comment is useless please remove it as well.

This comment should be moved to the test description at the start of the
test, right?

Do we need to have macros for these? I doubt so...

It's pretty much clear what these variables are from the names, no need
to comment here as well.

This should be put into the test setup, also the comment is useless.

Please use TTERRNO to print TST_ERR. Also the tst_res() prints TPASS so
we can omit the "Expected failure" as well and print it with something
as:

	tst_res(TPASS | TTERRNO, "%s", tcases[i].desc);

> + tst_res(TFAIL, "Unexpected results for %s ; "

> +				TST_ERR, tcases[i].exp_errno);

Here as well, the TST_ERR should be printed with TTERRNO and the
exp_errno should be printed with tst_strerrno(). We can do this with
somethign as:

	tst_res(TFAIL | TTERRNO,
	        "%s returned %ld expected -1, expected %s got ",
		tcases[i].desc, tst_strerrno(tcases[i].exp_errno));

Another useless comment and useless curly braces.

Usually the comment is added only for the endif here.

Other than the minor things it's a good cleanup.

Yes, we can delete the macros.

Good point, it doesn't matter to run all the tests under non-super-user.

Quite good suggestions. I missed that TTERRNO.

- *
- * DESCRIPTION
- *	This is a Phase I test for the iopl(2) system call.
- *	It is intended to provide a limited exposure of the system call.
- *
- * Setup:
- * Setup signal handling.
- * Test caller is superuser
- * Pause for SIGUSR1 if option specified.
- *
- * Test:
- * Loop if the proper options are given.
- * Execute system call
- * Check return code, if system call failed (return=-1)
- * Issue FAIL message with errno.
- * Otherwise, Issue PASS message.
- *
- * Cleanup:
- * Print errno log and/or timing stats if options given
- *
- * USAGE: <for command-line>
- * iopl01 [-c n] [-e] [-i n] [-I x] [-P x] [-t] [-h] [-f] [-p]

- * -h : Show help screen
- * -f : Turn off functional testing
- * -i n : Execute test n times.
- * -I x : Execute test for x seconds.
- * -p : Pause for SIGUSR1 before starting
- * -P x : Pause for x seconds between iterations.
- * -t : Turn on syscall timing.
